All animal Moco enzymes are also present in plants, with nitrate reductase as an additional enzyme in N-assimilation.  In contrast to humans, plant sulfite oxidase and amidoxime-reducing components (ARC) localize to distinct compartments (peroxisomes and cytosol, respectively). We study the roles of plant Mo enzymes in metabolism and nitric oxide signaling.
